XP won't boot\Admin password not accepted in console
It is not a big deal (my finger won't wear out) but I am always leery of these manual on/off switches ever since I had to replace one on a previous computer. The only time Vista will restart without me having to shut it down and do a cold boot is when I have to restart after an update from Microsoft.

Did another shutdown and boot and it worked. I didn't need to change any drive letters or anything for this whole process. Now, what does all of this tell us? And is the only fix a new Vista install dvd that MS has fixed? Yeah, like that would ever happen. :( Richard, you know you did, :).

If I understand you correctly your setup never boots using the Vista bootloader? One way or another your XP-setup immediatelly changes the MBR to NTLDR style. After the reboot that is initiated by winnt32.exe (XP version) the system won't boot anymore. The reason for this is that Vista uses a new bootloader but
